Workshops › FAQ

Can we bring our children to a workshop?

Forgotten Arts workshops include the use of power tools and sharp objects and thus aren’t child-friendly. We do, however, welcome teens 16 years and older.

Are your workshops wheelchair accessible?

Most of our workshops are accessible — but some may not be. Please check the respective workshop page for accessibility information. For additional information about our facility, please see our Accessibility page.

We’re visiting from another country; will the items made from natural materials pass customs inspection?

Most items made in our workshops (with the exception of food) will pass inspection as long as you stow them in your suitcase and then check the bag. If you have any concerns, please contact us – we’ll be glad to answer any questions or find answers for you.

We’d like to do a group event for our department at your facility. Do host private events?

Absolutely. Please contact James Conquer at maureen@forgottenarts.co.nz to plan your event.

I’m an artist and would like to host a workshop at your facility. How do I go about doing that?

Please see our Run a Workshop page for details.

What are your Terms and Conditions?

Cancellations.
If a booking needs to be cancelled a full refund (less booking fee of $15) will be given on request provided notice is given seven days before the workshop is due to start.

Alternatively, workshop attendees can reschedule to another date if this is possible for both parties. Another attendee can attend instead of the original booking person if the suggested person meets the required parameters for successful participation. (age, general fitness etc)

If the time period is less than seven days then no refund is available. Another attendee can attend instead of the original booking person if the suggested person meets the required parameters for successful participation. (age, general fitness etc)
